Good People, Better People and Fur

Good people sometimes do bad things. What makes them good, however, is that, after realizing they’re doing a bad thing, they care about it, and they stop doing it. Good is just acknowledging the truth about something, and acting in accordance. Better people make this an ingrained habit, value, and practice.

People have worn fur for years, but over the past 20 years, the sad truth about it has become clear. Fur is cruel because it’s production is extremely cruel, in all its forms- farmed or trapped. Cruelty to animals is bad. So says our laws, and humanity. So to wear fur is bad, and no one these days can say they don’t know this. All they can say, honestly, is that they don’t care, and that’s not good.

In our society, we obey the laws of decency, and honor, and that makes us good. People or celebrities wearing fur, in the idea that it makes them a “better” person, are wrong. It just makes them a worse person, a bad person, and no matter the status quo, this is the truth.

Good and bad don’t ever change, only our caring about it changes. Not caring, may seem the easy road to follow, but it has its consequences. We need to care about good and bad, aim to be better people. Our societies, world are what we are, and to survive, they must be good and only good.

To be good, you cannot wear fur. It’s that simple, and with many lux and faux alternatives, why would anyone want to? Please choose, instead, to be a good person, a truly better person: say no fur, and ask the celebrities who still sell, and wear it, to say no as well.

Fur Trapping

Animals caught in traps suffer from extreme cold, pain and are often left for days, alive, in traps before they are killed. If they are nursing moms, their babies will be left to starve to death.
