The Secret to Eternal Life (Updated)

In 2005, I came up with a diet and theory about eternal life (my definition being 100+ years of youthful, functional, healthy life) and how it can be achieved through a vegan diet. After 14 years of following it and having cured myself of the ailments I had, and being my own human test subject, I believe even more fully in it and stand by it. My diet is based on a healthy diet and healthy vegan diet and is a true miracle diet. I’m not alone in this. Just google it and you’ll find many doctors concur on the miracles that can be wrought by a healthy vegan diet.

After 14 years though, I’ve come to realize that just clean eating and positive, clean living isn’t enough. No one of us is an island and our politics, the world’s politics and direction are also factors. We can only achieve a much longer life span by both individual and collective action, attitudes and change, and both are needed.

What is required all seems pretty basic and simplistic but it works and look how far life is from it. And if you get it, agree with it, do you do it? Most agree with it and many get it, but only the minority do it. To change life, our lives, we all need to do it.

None of these premises are new. They are timeless, shared by all the great religions, Jesus and other great religious leaders and activists, and by good politics, and good common sense.

The premise holds: Be good, be the good, Change the world, change your life and humanity will know the miracles promised by the religions, by vegans, pioneer “health nuts”, socialists and other progressives. All it requires is the faith and humility to believe and the courage to try and to stick with it.

The Secret to Eternal Life

1. A healthy vegan diet. Low/no sugar, no/very low salt, low allergents.

2. Healthy habits and attitudes (smart self care)- sunscreen, sleep, stress management, exercise, PMA, kindness, fairness, sinfreeness, maturity, intelligence, hope, peace, love, happiness based attitudes.

3. Healthy habits and attitudes (politically, ethical)- wholesome, fair, progressive, voting, socialism, animal/human rights, conservation, nature, green, non wasteful, sinfree, virtuous, responsibility.

4. The truth- the wisdom to know, the humility to trust it and the courage to stand by it.

5. Peace- what our collective goal needs to be, what life and beings needs to thrive and survive.

6. Love- it is what we need and it is a rare thing in our world, entertainment culture and in our interactions and attitudes.

Eternal life is really is this simple and the truth is simple isn’t always easy. It’s a goal and quest, the mission of humanity. Excluding groups or species will never get us there so ending hate, which has become the western world’s core and making animal rights and veganism the future norm is key and simplifies things alot. Upholding elotist and austerity policy, beliefs that maintain poverty, and other old systems, problems and attitudes won’t allow us to get there either. Saying no to sin preaching leaders, faith groups and cultural trends is also necessary. Not easy but humanistic, completely possible and necessary.

In closing, in the words of the famous hippie song of the 1970s ” One Tin Soldier”: Peace on earth is all we need. I add to that this list, and yes, peace is what we need and for all beings.
